Pharos 95 arrived in Lendava in the summer of 2017, when the team was promoted from the Third to the Second Division after finishing at the top of the table. Gábor Végh, the founder of our company was elected president of FK Nafta Lendava.
Since then the club of this small town has become a stable and defining team of the Second Division, proving its skills in the top tier of the championship year after year. The club has also achieved the greatest success of its history by reaching the 2020 Slovenian Cup Final.
Its infrastructure is also developing at a rapid pace: in autumn 2020 the 50×70 m synthetic turf training pitch was completed, which is also used by the Hungarian-Slovene Bilingual Secondary School of Lendava to improve physical education at the school.
Since the arrival of Pharos 95 youth sports training in Lendava has been organised and planning has started for the sports academy whose goal is to support Hungarians living beyond our borders and implement sports programmes. On the site next to Lippa Hotel two (heated) natural turf pitches and a synthetic turf pitch are being constructed, along with spotlights, headquarters, and dressing rooms. In the future these can also serve as venues for community events as well as wellness and fitness activities.
